The activity log
A workspace-wide audit trail of who did what and when across your team.
The activity log is a chronological audit trail for the entire workspace. It records every significant action taken by any team member — creating records, changing settings, inviting users, publishing forms — all in one place.
Open it at Users → Activity in the sidebar.
What the log shows
Each entry in the log records:
- Who — the user who performed the action (name, avatar, and role at the time)
- What — a plain-English description of the event (for example, "Published form Demo Request", "Changed deal stage to Won", "Invited user rana@acme.com")
- When — the exact timestamp in the workspace timezone
Entries are immutable. No one can edit or delete a log entry, including owners.
Filtering the log
Three filters narrow the log to exactly what you need:
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| User | Any active or former team member |
| Event type | Contact events, deal events, form events, settings changes, user management, and more |
| Date range | A start and end date; defaults to the last 30 days |
Combine filters freely. For example: all settings changes made by a specific admin in the past week.
How the activity log differs from a contact's timeline
The workspace activity log and a contact's Activity tab serve different purposes:
| Workspace activity log | Contact timeline | |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Every action by every user | Events for one contact only |
| Focus | Team accountability and auditing | Contact history and context |
| Actor | Always a team member | Can be the contact themselves (form submission) or a team member |
| Access | Owners, admins, managers | Anyone with access to the contact profile |
Use the contact timeline when you want to understand one person's journey. Use the workspace activity log when you want to understand what your team has been doing.
Export
The log does not currently support CSV export. If you need a record for compliance purposes, use the date range filter to scope the view and take a screenshot or copy the visible entries.
Next steps
To adjust who can view the activity log, see Roles & privileges. To manage who is on the team, see Inviting users.
